Joelen Pastva is Head of Collection Management and Metadata Services at Northwestern University's Galter Health Sciences Library & Learning Center in Chicago. Her background is in metadata and cataloging, and she has had diverse experiences in the course of her career working in academic, specialized, and public libraries. Her professional interests include optimizing library discovery utilities, developing new methods for collection assessment and outreach, and improving research experiences through linked data implementations and other metadata initiatives.
