Dr. Barbara Tillett is Chief of the Policy and Standards Division, Library of Congress (LC) and the LC representative on the Joint Steering Committee for Development of RDA (formerly the Joint Steering Committee for Revision of AACR). She also led the IFLA work towards a Statement of International Cataloguing Principles and helped develop the FRBR conceptual model and its extension FRAD.
For anyone not completely familiar with the alphabet soup in Barbara’s bio:
- AACR = Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules
- RDA = Resource Description and Access
- IFLA = International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions
- FRBR = Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records
- FRAD = Functional Requirements for Authority Data
