Marcia McNutt is a strong advocate for open science. Before her appointment as President of the NAS, Dr. McNutt was Professor of Geophysics at MIT, President and CEO of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Director of the USGD, and Editor-in-Chief of Science.
