Rebecca Koskela is the Executive Director of EarthCube, an NSF-funded project intended to transform geoscience research by developing cyberinfrastructure to improve access, sharing, visualization, and analysis of all forms of geosciences data and related resources. Prior to this, she was Executive Director of DataONE (Data Observation Network for Earth), an NSF-funded project that provides access to data across multiple member repositories and supports enhanced search and discovery of Earth and environmental data at the University of New Mexico. Her main interests are in scientific data management, specifically working to make scientific data FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable). She is leading the cohort of data repositories assemble to apply for the CoreTrustSeal certification as part of the AGU Coalition Enabling FAIR Data Project. Rebecca has a background in both bioinformatics and high performance computing.
