Keith Russell is Engagements manager at the Australian Research Data Commons, engaging with research organisations and research infrastructure organisations around Australia. In this role he has worked on establishing projects and engagements with a range of organisations, working on policies and the human and technical infrastructure required to make research data and tools more Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable and to prepare the researchers and their organisations to benefit from a data intensive future.
Keith moved from Europe where he was the coordinator of the Knowledge Exchange Initiative, combining the interests of five national European organizations ranging from e-Infrastructure providers and funders to research funders and the library community. Trained as a human geographer he held various positions at the largest university in the Netherlands, before joining the Dutch national organization SURF, engaging with the Dutch institutions of higher education and research.
