Dr Frances Pinter is the Executive Chair of the Central European University, having previously been CEO of Manchester University Press and Founding Publisher of Bloomsbury Academic. She also set up Knowledge Unlatched. Earlier on she was Publishing Director at the Open Society Institute. She founded Pinter Publishers, that owned Leicester University Press and Belhaven Press. Her contribution to Open Access was acknowledged when receiving the University Press Redux 2018 award.
