This presentation by Mark Puente of Purdue University, was part of the NISO Humanities Roundtable Building Diversity, Building Accessibility, Building Better. Puente addressed the evolving vocabulary in diversity, equity and inclusion and made a case for developing a common framework for discussing these issues and their application to practice in the cultural heritage and information fields. Puente also addressed the need for building greater capacity for equity and access in a digital environment, and making inroads to reducing colonial influences on inquiry, language, norms, and technology.
