Chelsea Lee

Instructional Lead, APA Style

Chelsea Lee is the instructional lead, APA Style, at the American Psychological Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree in education and human development from the George Washington University. She helped shape the seventh edition Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, in particular the new referencing system and the bias-free language guidelines. She also contributes to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at APA, such as the second edition Inclusive Language Guide. She promotes a kind and conscientious approach to writing and believes that people become better writers by becoming better thinkers, and by that by becoming better thinkers, people become better people. In addition to her work at APA, she has two young sons and is an avid swing dancer and swing dance teacher, classical pianist, and crossword puzzle enthusiast.
