Summer Series: DEIA in the Scholarly Landscape
NISO is excited to introduce the DEIA in the Scholarly Landscape training series for 2024. This series is designed to support individuals at all stages of their Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) journey, particularly as it relates to scholarly publishing and academic libraries. Whether you are just beginning your DEIA work or you are an experienced leader, this training series offers valuable opportunities for growth and development.
The series addresses several key topics:
- Expanding representation in the scholarly publishing industry.
- Understanding the risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence (AI) concerning DEIA.
- Implementing standards and processes to promote equity.
- Addressing past harms and deconstructing inequitable systems.
Each session features expert guest speakers sharing their insights and experiences. Attendees will have the chance to engage in collaborative discussions, strategize with peers, and learn actionable steps to advance DEIA within their organizations.
