ISO 24138:2024 Information and documentation — International Standard Content Code (ISCC)
Technical Committee: ISO/TC 46/SC 9

ISO/IEC TS 20000-15:2024 Information technology — Service management Part 15: Guidance on the application of Agile and DevOps principles in a service management system
Technical Committee: ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 40

“This document provides guidance on the relationship between ISO/IEC 20000–1:2018 and two commonly used frameworks, Agile and DevOps. It can be used by any organization or person wishing to understand how Agile and DevOps can be used with ISO/IEC 20000–1, including: an organization that has demonstrated or intends to demonstrate conformity to the requirements specified in ISO/IEC 20000–1 and is seeking guidance on the use of Agile or DevOps to establish or improve the SMS and the services; an organization that already uses Agile or DevOps and is seeking guidance on how Agile or DevOps can be used to support efforts to demonstrate conformity to the requirements specified in ISO/IEC 20000–1; an assessor or auditor who wishes to understand the use of Agile or DevOps as a support for achieving the requirements specified in ISO/IEC 20000–1. Both approaches can be used independently or together. Depending on the context, an organization can deploy Agile frameworks only, DevOps frameworks only, use both Agile and DevOps frameworks in isolation, or use an integrated workflow with combined Agile and DevOps approaches. In any of these situations, this document can be used as guidance for the integration of Agile and DevOps practices in an SMS.”

Group Note: EPUB Fixed Layout Accessibility [W3C]

“The Publishing Maintenance Working Group has just published the Working Group Note EPUB Fixed Layout Accessibility. This document outlines the goals for EPUB accessible fixed layout ebooks while acknowledging the challenges unique to the EPUB Fixed Layout format. EPUB Fixed Layout (FXL) publications, or publications where the print layout is preserved in the digital edition, have been around since before EPUB 3.0.1. These publications span a number of genres and types, from comic books, cook books, children's books, and more. The main motivation behind creating fixed layout publications is the need to preserve the print layout of the book, either because of it's importance to the text (i.e., complex diagrams) or it's artistic purpose (i.e., illustrated text). However, these publications are often partially or completely inaccessible to people with print disabilities. An accessible fixed layout EPUB file is one that meets the accessibility requirements of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2 level AA and EPUB Accessibility 1.1, including color contrast, reading order, font layout, structural navigation, metadata, and text alternatives. This note serves to help EPUB creators, publishers, and reading systems address some of the common accessibility issues found in fixed layout content including navigation, reading order, and text alternatives. This document is a companion to EPUB Accessibility 1.1, specifically for fixed layout publications.”

New Core Book – Inclusive Cataloging: Histories, Context, and Reparative Approaches [ALA Core]

“As part of the profession’s ongoing EDISJ efforts to redress librarianship’s problematic past, practitioners from across the field are questioning long-held library authorities and standards. They’re undertaking a critical and rigorous re-examination of so-called “best” practices and the decisionmakers behind them, pointing out heretofore unscrutinized injustices within our library systems of organization and making concrete steps towards progressive change. This collection from Core details the efforts of some of the many librarians who are working to improve our systems and collections, in the process inspiring those who have yet to enact change by demonstrating that this work is scalable, possible, and necessary. Edited by Amber Billey, Elizabeth Nelson, and Rebecca Uhl.”
