Roger Strong is currently Vice-President of Global Academic Sales – AMERICAS at where he manages the Gale-Cengage sales and training engagement teams supporting academic libraries and their users across North and South America. He has spent more than 25 years in the academic library publishing space with almost 20 years at Gale in various sales and management roles. He developed the first strategic account management program at Gale focused on academic libraries and has been involved as a member of the ACRL Value of academic Libraries committee. Over the course of his career at Gale, Roger has negotiated a number of collaborative partnerships with academic libraries, consortia, and scholarly organizations including undergraduate research awards, licensed resources supporting teaching and learning initiatives, and co-grant writing collection initiatives.
