Catch Up with NISO at Chicago's McCormick Center Next Month

May 2026

If you're headed to Chicago next month, make sure to check in with NISO! On June 26, just prior to the opening of the main ALA Annual Conference, you can find us at the 2026 Library Insights Summit.

Hosted by Foreword Reviews in partnership with NISO, BISG, and the Independent Book Publishers Association, the Library Insights Summit is the only conference designed to bring established publishers, author-publishers, and librarians together for a full day of smart, actionable, and future-focused programming. NISO Executive Director Todd Carpenter will moderate the conference panel Misinformation, Metrics, and Meaning: Measuring Trust in the System (LIB), which addresses how library data, publishing analytics, and community reporting can be standardized to capture meaningful measures of credibility and inclusivity—not just circulation.

At the ALA Annual Conference, you can also attend a NISO information standards update. Join us on Sunday, June 28 from 1:00–2:00 pm CDT to get the latest on new and upcoming standards projects, including the recently published Collaborative Collections Lifecycle Infrastructure Project Recommended Practice. Check the ALA conference scheduler for the latest information.
