Failure’s Role in Innovation and Discovery Highlighted in Research Library Issues

The latest issue of the Association of Research Libraries’ open access journal Research Library Issues looks at the function of failure in library work, “both its necessary role in experimentation and its key role in learning.” The issue offers several vignettes from librarians authors and presents case studies covering a survey of Canadian library and university press collaborations, the University of Michigan Orphan Works Project, a legislative initiative of the Utah Academic Library Consortium, and the George Washington University collections budget.
