Janet Bishop will become the next A. J. McFadden Dean of The Claremont Colleges Library. Janet joins The Claremont Colleges from the University of Minnesota Libraries, where she serves as the Associate University Librarian for Content and Collections. Her appointment begins on September 16, 2019. Bishop has held prior positions as well at Colorado State University, Seattle University and the University of Washington Libraries.
Janet earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Princeton University, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Washington, as well as a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
