We’re excited to announce that you will soon be able to select which type(s) of information you receive from NISO. In January 2021, we will share a form with all current Information Organized/NISO Newsline subscribers that allows you to opt in to receive NISO news and updates you prefer, from the following areas:

NISO I/O: our monthly Information Organized newsletter on all things standards/information-related

Educational Programming: information about our virtual and in-person educational events

Standards Updates: News about NISO’s standards program and working groups, including our ISO work

NISO Plus: Updates on our annual conference

NISO Announcements: Press releases and other official announcements about all aspects of our work
You can choose to receive information in any or all of these categories, and you can change your preferences at any time.
You can opt out of hearing from us at any time, however, you will continue to receive communications about any NISO activities you participate in formally, for example, if you are a designated NISO member contact or are a member of a working group or committee, ..
We will be transitioning to this new opt-in process during the first quarter of 2021, and your preferences will take effect from April 1; between now and then, the NISO staff will be busily adapting our internal systems and processes.
For now, we just wanted to let you know that this change is in the works and that we’ll contact you in January to invite you to select your customized mailing preferences.
