The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) today announced the launch of the ASME Conference Video Collection, powered by virtual conference and publishing platform Morressier. The user-friendly platform collects and provides long-term access to valuable conference presentation videos from all technology areas within ASME’s technical conference and events program.

More than 30,000 engineers across all mechanical engineering and related disciplines participate in ASME conferences each year. This includes authors of 6,000 to 8,000 technical papers published by ASME, the majority of whom also submit video presentations. With the launch of the ASME Conference Video Collection, this entire set of video presentations and abstracts can now be easily browsed, filtered, and shared with a global audience for increased discoverability and a more inclusive conference experience.

“We are excited to present our new ASME Conference Video Collection, which will complement and enhance the traditional dissemination of engineering research papers from ASME conference proceedings," says Tim Graves, ASME's managing director of technical and engineering communities. "In addition to a wide variety of keynote and plenary talk recordings from our conferences, these technical videos offer both a visual and audio view, including anecdotal insights, into the papers by the author and may be easily integrated with university course materials to improve student engagement.”

“The launch of the ASME Conference Video Collection on the Morressier platform is an exciting milestone in this pivotal partnership and marks the beginning of a dramatic change in how conference content is perceived and shared,” says Sami Benchekroun, Morressier CEO and Co-Founder. “I’m very impressed by the innovation-first approach of the ASME team and together, we are helping to unlock engineering breakthroughs to researchers around the globe and increase the impact of this valuable content.”

The ASME Conference Video Collection can be purchased by institutions as an add-on to existing product packages or as a separate subscription. In the future, the collection will also be accessible for individual purchase. For more information, visit the ASME Conference Video Collection at https://go.asme.org/ConferenceVideos

About ASME

ASME helps the global engineering community develop solutions to real world challenges.  Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society. ASME codes and standards, publications, conferences, continuing education, and professional development programs provide a foundation for advancing technical knowledge and a safer world. In 2020, ASME formed the International Society of Interdisciplinary Engineers (ISIE) LLC, a new for-profit subsidiary to house business ventures that will bring new and innovative products, services, and technologies to the engineering community, and later established the holding company, Global Knowledge Solutions LLC. In 2021, ASME launched a second for-profit subsidiary, Metrix Connect LLC, an industry events and content platform to accelerate digital transformation in the engineering community and an agent for the Mechanical Engineering® brand of media products.
