Oxford University Press to Acquire Karger Publishers

Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced that it will acquire the Basel, Switzerland-based Karger Publishers, with plans to complete the deal this month.

Founded in 1890, Karger is an independently owned publisher of books and journals in medicine and the health sciences, including the quarterly Dermatology, first published in 1893. With the acquisition, OUP will significantly increase its footprint in these disciplines.
