NISO Welcomes New Board Members for the 2026–27 Term Beginning July 1

We are delighted to announce the results of our recent Board elections for the term beginning July 1, 2026. Jill Morris, Executive Director of the Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation (PALCI), is the new Chair of the NISO Board, having served as Vice Chair for the past year. Emily Singley (Vice President, Global Library Relations and Partnerships, Elsevier) is Vice Chair and will assume the role of Chair for 2027–28 next year. Jonathan Clark (Principal, Consultant and Managing Agent, The DOI Foundation) rotates to the position of Past Chair, having served as NISO Chair for 2025–26. 

NISO Voting Members have elected three new directors: Bill Kasdorf (Principal, Kasdorf & Associates, LLC), Wendy Queen (Chief Transformation Officer, Johns Hopkins University Press), and Robert Wheeler (Director, Publishing Technology, American Society of Mechanical Engineers).  The new directors will serve on the Board for a three-year term from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. Rebecca McLeod, Andrew Pace, and Mary-Sauer-Games are rotating off the Board this year, with our thanks and appreciation for their service. It's an honor to lead alongside such a talented and diverse group, and I'm especially glad to welcome our newest Board members into that work."

Emily Singley added, "I'm looking forward to serving NISO as Vice Chair this year, and especially to working closely with the NISO leadership and community to build out an impactful strategic plan that positions us well to take on the challenges of a fast-moving information ecosystem."
