John Zenelis is Dean of Libraries and University Librarian at George Mason University. He has led Mason’s library system for more than 20 years. For a period of a dozen years, he also served concurrently as Associate Vice President for Information Technology at Mason. Among the range of responsibilities associated with his Dean of Libraries role, he also oversees the GMU Press, which is part of University Libraries. His prior professional experience includes senior administrative positions at Temple University Libraries, including two years as acting University Librarian, and before that middle level management positions at Columbia University Libraries. His professional start and training was with The Research Libraries, The New York Public Library.
