Joyce Chapman is the Assessment Analyst & Consultant at Duke University Libraries. She assists in planning and coordinating assessment and quantitative and qualitative user research; collects and analyzes data to evaluate library operations and understand user needs; and supports data analysis and reporting needs across the Libraries. Prior to working at Duke, Joyce was the Data Analysis & Communications Consultant at the State Library of North Carolina. Joyce has also worked in special collections and digital libraries, taught high school English in Japan, and worked in a public library in Nicaragua. Joyce co-founded the Digital Library Federation Assessment Interest Group. She received a BA in Linguistics and an MS in Library Science from the UNC-Chapel Hill.
