Rachel Vacek (she/her) is the Head of Design and Discovery at the University of Michigan Library. In this role, she leads a department that provides development, design, content strategy, digital accessibility expertise, and UX strategy across the entire Library’s web presence. She enjoys presenting at local and national conferences on her research and professional interests, which include library UX, service design, web and discovery technologies, and organizational leadership. Rachel is a former Library & Information Technology Association (LITA) President and currently serves on Core’s Technology Section Leadership Team.
