Scott Keeney has worked at Westchester Publishing Services since 1998, where he promptly learned from the veteran typesetters the importance of adhering to a standard tag set. Over the years, he has played a key role in several of Westchester’s digital production initiatives, from taking the lead in shaping the company’s earliest XML-first workflow using QuarkXpress 4 and XMLxt, to helping to develop and coordinate a backlist digitization process for a major trade publisher that at its peak was converting more than 100 books per month to epub.
