Trisha L. Davis is an Associate Professor and Head, Serials, Electronic Resources, and Rights Management Department at The Ohio State University Libraries. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member for the Kent State University School of Library and Information Science, Columbus Program, teaching graduate courses in technical services, serials, cataloging, and academic libraries.
In 1997, Ms. Davis served as the Visiting Program Officer for Licensing of Electronic Products at the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) where she helped develop two workshops on licensing that were presented around the U.S. for six years. In 2005, she again served the ARL, this time as the Visiting Program Officer for Mapping of License Terms and helped develop and present workshops on license mapping that were presented around the U.S. She has been active in the American Library Association, recently serving as chair of the Acquisition Section of ALCTS, and as a member of the ALCTS Board of Directors. She has served on editorial boards for professional journals in Acquisitions and Serials and has authored many articles of related topics.
Ms. Davis was awarded the ALA ALCTS 2000 Bowker/Ulrich's Serials Librarianship Award, which recognized her distinguished contributions to serials librarianship. In 2002 she received the ALCTS Presidential Citation for her vision and dedication in developing and presenting "Fundamentals of Acquisitions," a web-based continuing education course. In 2009, she was awarded the ALA ALCTS Leadership in Library Acquisitions Award given to a librarian to recognize contributions and outstanding leadership in the field of acquisitions.
