William E. Moen joined the University of North Texas School of Library and Information Sciences faculty in Spring 1996. He teaches courses and conducts research in the following areas:
- Organization of information, metadata, networked information discovery and retrieval
- Digital and institutional repositories
- Implementation and interoperability of ANSI/NISO Z39.50 clients and servers
- Internet services, applications, and evaluation
- National information policy
- Technical standards for information handling, organization, and access
Moen conducts workshops and tutorials on ANSI/NISO Z39.50, metadata, the organization of networked information, and networked information discovery and retrieval. A selected list of his publications and research reports can be found at http://www.unt.edu/wmoen/publications.htm.
