The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) today announced that Dr. Katharina Ruckstuhl will deliver the closing keynote at the annual NISO Plus conference (February 15-17, 2022).
Dr. Ruckstuhl is an Associate Dean and Senior Research Fellow at the Otago Business School and is the Māori lead of a major New Zealand ‘grand challenge’, Science for Technological Innovation. She has leadership roles with her tribe of Ngāi Tahu, is an ORCID Board member, and a member of the IEEE working party on standards for Indigenous people’s data. She has published on Māori language, mining, Māori economy and Māori science and technology. She is currently co-editing a book on Indigenous Development.
NISO Plus 2022 (February 15-17) is a digital-first, fully virtual global conference taking place across multiple time zones, with a focus on innovation, education, and conversation, which was attended by 850 people in 2021. Dr. Ruckstuhl’s presentation is scheduled for 9.00pm ET on February 17/3.00pm NZ on February 18, 2022.
